Xavier Oberson is Professor of Swiss and International Tax Law at the University of Geneva, where he has been teaching for more than thirty years. He is also a partner lawyer at Oberson Abels SA, a leading Swiss law firm specialising in tax law, where he has practiced for over three decades.
Alongside his academic and legal career, Xavier Oberson plays an active role in the cultural sphere. He is President of the Grand Théâtre de Genève and Vice-President of the Montreux Jazz Festival, combining governance responsibilities with a long-standing personal passion for music, which he also practices as an electric guitarist.
